LAWYER JOYCE OPOKU-BOATENG
(BARRISTER AND SOLICITOR OF THE SUPREME COURT OF GHANA)
FOUNDER AND CEO
Joyce’s desire to establish an NGO focused on women and children’s rights arose from her extensive experience as a gender rights advocate in both governmental and non-governmental sectors. Her passion was further deepened after participating in the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Program on “Combating Trafficking in Persons” in 2007.
She received her legal education in Ghana and the UK, earning a law degree and professional training from the Ghana Law School, and was called to the Bar in 1994. Joyce has worked in various legal roles locally and internationally, serving as Legal Officer for state organizations and Consultant in Human Rights.
